what is "look up at the sky day"?
1n 1977, TV reporter Jack Borden stopped dozens of people in Boston and asked them to describe the sky without looking up. Only one in ten could do so. Jack believed all our lives would be better if we stopped and looked up at the sky regularly. He started a non-profit called For Spacious Skies to support this idea, which is believed to be the roots of this holiday, National Look Up at the Sky Day.
Spending time in nature is good for all of us, and looking at the sky is an easy way to do this!
