The highlighted dates and times show negative tides (low tide) during daylight hours. The bigger the number, the lower the tide is, so the more likely you will see animals that are normally covered by water (like sea stars). -2.0 is a better time to go that -0.7, for example. Ideas of where to go are under the Santa Monica, Venice, or Malibu piers, or you can visit tide pools at the Malibu Lagoon State Park (right across PCH from Malibu Country Mart). |
